Black Ops™ is an elite weight management system developed by the multi award winning R&D team at Grenade® and has a unique stimulatory effect, designed to enhance mental and physical performance. Predominantly aimed at male users, Black Ops™ has a shorter duration of action than the original Grenade® Thermo Detonator making it ideal for focused HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) sessions and for training later in the afternoon or early evening.
How it works
When you try to solve a complex problem like getting rid of unsightly body fat, you can’t just come at it from just one angle. The body constantly adapts to changes in one or two metabolic pathways. So you have to consider all of the angles. That’s what the Grenade® Research Team has done with Black Ops™.
The first thing you have to do when designing a world-beating fat burner is to mobilize fat from fat cells. This is affected by caffeine – a must-have ingredient in any such product. Then, to ensure that the fat gets eliminated (and not just stored back in fat cells), you have to increase the metabolic rate and increase fat oxidation. This is achieved by green tea, which has been shown in clinical studies to help dieters shed inches and increase their resting metabolisms… then Cayenne kicks in, to assist green tea in ensuring maximum oxidation! Next, there are two other conditions, without which, you simply won’t burn maximum fat – you need to influence the right hormones and chemical messengers. This is where Blue green algae and Cocoa Extract come in. Blue green algae contains essential fatty acids and Phenylephrine. Essential fatty acids are associated with decreased body fat mass and phenylephrine is known to stimulate the body’s primary fat-burning hormone called norepinephrine. So now you have the body’s primary signalling molecules – hormones - on your side. Finally, the icing on the cake is Cocoa Extract’s effect on nitric oxide. Most of us know nitric oxide as a vasodilator and pre-workout booster but it has been shown to be intimately involved in fat metabolism and in fact if it is blocked, the use of fat for energy virtually comes to a halt in the body.
Not even satisfied with this five-pronged attack, Grenade® Researchers have also added several micronutrients which have been evaluated to be substantially involved in fat-loss metabolism and the improvement of insulin function – crucial for properly handling dietary carbs! So while most fat-loss products are satisfied to influence one or two weight loss pathways in the body, Grenade® Black Ops™ attacks virtually all of them.
iBlack Ops™ Spec
Caffeine has many well-known effects on the body and metabolism. These include improved alertness, increased endurance performance and capacity of muscle and a reduction in the effort perceived to be required when exercising .
Cayenne is a particular type of pepper, which has been identified and used as a herb since the 17th century. Cayenne contains capsaicin, which has the general property of causing a warming and/or burning sensation when consumed. Some evidence suggests that it has effects on fat metabolism and may be associated with improved body composition [2,3].
Cocoa extract : 50mg
This is a high-flavanol cocoa extract, which is exclusive to Black Ops™. These specific cocoa flavanols have been shown to have a relaxing effect on blood vessel walls causing what is called “endothelium-dependent vasodilation”. This is the mechanism that results in normal blood flow and that is suspected to result from the effect of the now famous, gaseous molecule “NO” (nitric oxide) .
Green tea : 50mg
Green tea (Camillia Senensis) is probably the most commonly-used extract in diet support products and has been extensively studied in this regard.
Blue green algae : 10mg (AFA)
Blue green algae is a form of cyaonbacteria, also known as “Aphanizomenon flos-aquae” (AFA). This particular form is a one-of-a-kind extract and can only be obtained from Grenade Black Ops.
N Methyl Tyramine: 10mg
N Methyl Tyramine is a PEA (phenylethylamine) alkaloid found naturally in a number of plants.
Niacin is an essential B vitamin involved in several metabolic activities. Its benefits include decreasing fatigue. Adequate niacin is required for energy production by the body .
Vitamin B6 is an essential B vitamin involved in numerous activities in the body, including the metabolic production of energy, avoidance of tiredness and fatigue and regulation of homocysteine levels. Excessive homocysteine is associated with increased risk of heart disease .
Bioperine is an extract of the fruit of piper nigrum, containing the active constituent piperine. It is often used for its purported digestive support properties.
Taurine is an amino acid-like organic acid, which is often found in energy drinks and other sports nutrition supplements. Most humans are thought to have over 100 grams of taurine in their bodies, which is not surprising, as it is involved in a variety of metabolic activities, including fat metabolism, muscle and heart function.
Choline is known to contribute to the metabolism of fat. It is an essential nutrient, which is classified as a B complex vitamin. Its other main functions include being an essential constituent of cell membranes and acetylcholine, which sends neural signals to (among other things) activate muscle contraction .
Chromium is an essential trace element in the diet and is needed by the body for the maintenance of blood glucose levels. So adequate chromium intake may support good insulin function and can be said to make insulin more “efficient”. Efficient insulin may be good for those who wish to build muscle or support fat loss as this hormone is essential for helping to store amino acids, carbohydrates and creatine in muscle cells. Also, more efficient insulin will be required in smaller amounts, which is in accordance with many fitness athlete’s desire to avoid excess insulin release .
